Carmeleon’s mobile body shop at EquipAuto

Carmeleon accelerates its development.

– Opening of a Carmeleon express body shop in Décines (69)
– Commissioning of 6 new Carmeleon trucks
– Recruitment campaign for technicians

Equip Auto show, Paris, 17/10/2019 (Hall 1, Stand B025) – Dent Wizard – Dentmaster, leader in France for paintless dent removal, light bodywork and S.M.A.R.T. Repair (windshield repair, wheel repair and minor interior repairs) announces the opening of a new site in Décines, just outside Lyon. The new center, which will carry the Carmeleon colors, should be operational by the end of the year.
The Lyon-based company, which had opened a first site in 2014 in Bois d’Arcy, in the Yvelines, is now duplicating the model in its hometown. The administrative and accounting services currently based in Lyon Part Dieu, will be transferred to the Décines site.

Currently under construction, the new Décines site will cover 560 m², including 460 m² of workshop space. Like the Bois d’Arcy site, this site will welcome private customers, corporate fleets, and professional repairers in a Carmeleon repair workshop. The Bois d’Arcy and Décines sites complete the company’s offer, which has always been based on its three brands of home or workplace interventions for private individuals, on the premises for corporate fleets or at the repairer’s premises when they call on their services.
“We are looking forward to inaugurating this new site, which will broaden our range of services by giving customers in the Lyon region who so desire the option of having their work done on our premises,” comments Alexandre Sabet d’Acre, Director of Dent Wizard – Dentmaster. “After 3 years of operation, the Bois d’Arcy site is now running at full capacity. The experience we have acquired is being put to good use in the development and deployment of the Décines site, which should quickly reach cruising speed.”

Carmeleon is expanding its fleet of trucks and its team of technicians.

At the same time, Carmeleon, whose “onsite” business is growing, is continuing its to ensure optimal coverage of the territory. The brand continues to develop its fleet of trucks. With 6 new trucks equipped this year, Carmeleon will have a fleet of 46 trucks crisscrossing France to meet its customers.
These unique workshop vehicles, which have made the brand so successful, were developed by Dent Wizard – Dentmaster. They required more than 2 years of Research & Development.
Equipped with a spectrophotometer, a vacuum system that meets the standards of open cabins and a transportable preparation area, Carmeleon trucks allow technicians to reproduce all existing colors on the market and produce work of impeccable quality, identical to that performed in a traditional body shop.

The recent acquisition of a stake in the company by CarStudio (Mobivia group) should enable the company to accelerate the pace of acquisition of new trucks and to support this development by hiring new technicians. To date, Carmeleon employs 46 technicians.

Since the beginning of the year, the company has hired and trained more than ten technicians. It continues its recruitment campaign. 40 mobile and sedentary technician positions will be available over the year 2018. The profiles sought are Body Repairers with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a workshop, with a good knowledge of both trades, autonomous, with a real sense of service and an impeccable quality of work. During Equip Auto, Carmeleon communicates in an innovative way on its recruitment campaign. On its stand, flyers and posters will invite visitors to flash a QR code to apply and win an ANEST IWATA gun by drawing lots. The curious ones who will have flashed the QR code will be put in touch with Mickaël, a virtual assistant who will invite them to answer questions allowing to better define their profile and to know the company better. The objective of this original initiative, developed by the company BigSquare, is to create a pool of potential candidates who can join the Carmeleon team in the intensive deployment phase. The choice of using a BOT (conversational robot) to build this base should allow Carmeleon to particularly attract the attention of young bodyworkers.

All employees are trained in Carmeleon’s specific techniques, which require a high level of expertise. The Dentmaster training is a reference in the fast repair market. The technicians are taken in charge during 4 to 6 weeks by experienced trainers, transmitting to them, in addition to the techniques and methods used by Carmeleon, the requirement and the rigour corresponding to the quality criteria of the company. The newcomers benefit from a technical, theoretical, and commercial training in order to optimize customer relations. At the end of the training, they are accompanied in the field for the time necessary to establish their activity in their area.

This year, Carmeleon will achieve a turnover of about 4 500 000 €.
